With support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the expert instructional designers at BCL set out to address health training challenges in the developing world. We joined their team to help define strategy and requirements for a platform that empowers consistent, scalable training for immunization workers.

We led user research for the project, which included a series of focus groups in Tanzania, site visits to immunization clinics and interviews with clinical workers. While in Tanzania, we also facilitated stakeholder workshops with in-country partners at the Clinton Health Access Initiative to align on expectations and implementation. Today, Immunization Academy is a thriving platform that provides on-demand training using WHO best practices.

This assignment required us to: develop and implement a research plan for cross-cultural audiences, enroll diverse partners in a shared vision and create a compelling product positioning in a complex landscape.
